About us
Formed in 1987 by a partnership between churches in Bromley North and Bromley Social Services, CarePlus has consistently provided practical and social help to older people in and around the London Borough of Bromley.
We work with individuals, statutory and voluntary agencies to provide a free local volunteer support service for older people (65+) in the London Borough of Bromley to meet their needs for befriending, social support and practical assistance.
The services provided directly by the charity are befriending, shopping, gardening and transport (trips to medical appointments). We also promote regular group activities to enable older people to stay active and meet others - gentle exercise classes a film and a craft club.
CarePlus is funded through donations from local churches and individuals, grants from trusts, events fundraising and contracts with statutory agencies, and relies on the goodwill of the community to continue its work.
